THE FAMILY SUV WITH AN ANGER MANAGEMENT PROBLEM!
There's something gloriously ridiculous about the BMW X5 M. Five seats. A generous boot. Plenty of luxury. All the ingredients of a perfectly sensible family SUV. Then somebody at BMW decided it needed a twin-turbocharged V8, enormous brakes and enough performance to embarrass cars half its size.
Because apparently getting the kids to school wasn't exciting enough!
This 2021 example looks particularly menacing in Tanzanite blue, sitting beautifully on BC Forged 22” multi-spoke wheels. It's aggressive without being shouty, although the engine is more than capable of making up for that.
It's the sort of car that can comfortably take the family away for the weekend, then make you question whether something this big should be allowed to accelerate quite so enthusiastically.
### WHY THIS CAR?
Its not a White, Black or Grey X5M!
We are sick of seeing the same spec X5M’s driving around, this is different… in a VERY good way!
**9.5/10**
Not even a mark on a wheel, thats how good this is.
### PARABOLICA VERDICT
Do you need an X5 M? Absolutely not. Is a regular X5 more than capable of doing everything most people could possibly ask of it? Of course. But that's rather missing the point. The X5 M exists for people who want all the practicality of a luxury SUV without surrendering the part of themselves that still loves driving.
And we rather like that.
### THE GOOD STUFF
- Wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto
- Climate Control
- 22" Alloy wheels
- Blind Spot Monitoring
- remote central locking
- 360 degree camera
- intelligent reverse assist
- Panoramic Sunroof
