There's a reason the Toyota RAV4 has become one of Australia's favourite SUVs. It's practical, comfortable, versatile and has built a reputation for doing exactly what you ask of it without making a fuss, but the Edge is a little different.
With its more rugged styling, distinctive alloy wheels, all-wheel-drive capability and additional equipment, it's the RAV4 for people who occasionally like to venture beyond the supermarket car park.
This 2021 example looks particularly smart in grey, with contrasting exterior details that give it a purposeful appearance. Underneath sits Toyota's proven 2.5L petrol engine, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.
It's a car designed to be used, enjoyed and relied upon, and that's exactly what a good family SUV should be.

Probably not.
But there's something rather appealing about a vehicle that knows exactly what it's supposed to do and gets on with it.
The Edge adds a little more character, some useful capability and enough equipment to make everyday life rather comfortable, and let's be fair, a family SUV is supposed to carry kids, dogs, shopping, luggage and whatever else life throws at it.
Not spend its entire existence being polished in the garage. This is an honest, practical SUV with plenty to offer the right buyer.
